General Requirements |
Students seeking admission to the Bachelor’s Degree Programme of the Catholic University of Ghana must have a Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSSC) with a maximum of twenty four (24) points and passes in six (6) subjects, including passes in English, Mathematics and either Integrated Sciences or Social Studies.
Applicants who have completed the G.C.E. must have “O” level passes at credit in five (5) subjects including English and Mathematics as well as in Arts and Science subjects and “A” level passes in two subjects as well as the general paper. Holders of the Ghana Business Certificate and the Advanced Business Certificate will be considered.

Additional Faculty Requirements |
Student applying to the Faculties of either Information and Communication Sciences and Technology or Economics and Business Administration must also have a pass of at least a “C” in elective Mathematics. |

Candidate on Transfer from another University |
A candidate who has been enrolled as a regular student in a Bachelor’s Degree course in a recognized university and made satisfactory progress for at least one year may be considered for admission, on presentation of authenticated academic records and the names of two references.

Mature Entry And Other Special Applications |
Mature Entry: The Admissions Committee may recognized the work experience or other qualifications of “mature entry” applicants, i.e., applicants who are thirty years of age or older and who do not satisfy all the requirements for normal admission.
Provisional Entry: The Admissions Committee may consider applicants with total points above twenty-four (24) on a case-by-case basis, to enable and encourage a diversified enrolment from regions across Ghana. The Admissions Committee may consider applicants who are awaiting the results of SSSC examinations and have good recommendations from their secondary schools, but successful applicants in this group will matriculate only when they satisfy the normal requirements.
Part Time Students and Auditors: The Admissions Committee will consider applicants who wish to study part time or as auditors on a case-by-case basis. |

Part Time Schools (Night and Weekend) |
Night School Students: The Admissions Committee will consider applicants to the night school programme on the same basis as other applicants, either as regular or mature entry part time.

| REGISTRATION PROCEDURE |
Applicants will submit their competed application forms on or before the dates indicated and list their choice of Faculty. The Admissions Committee will review the list of applicants and determine the final selection. The Admissions Committee will respect the preferences of applicants as much as possible, but may assign applicants to another Faculty on the basis of their second or third preference. The Admissions Committee will inform the successful applicants, who will then proceed to register. A non-refundable deposit of one million five hundred thousand (1,500,000) Cedis will be paid at time of acceptance. |

Late Registration |
Students who register after the end of the official date for registration will pay a penalty of ¢500,000 for each day of default for a period not exceeding three (3) working days after which no further registration will be allowed. |

Registration by Proxy |
Registration by proxy is NOT allowed. It can only be done by special circumstances determined by the university.

Other Fees |
In addition to tuition fees, students will be required to pay one hundred and ten Ghana Cedis (GH¢110.00) towards SRC, sports & games, library, matriculation, medical clinic, medical examinations, LD cards, semester examination, entertainment and internet fees.
These fees include the use of the computer laboratory but not photocopying and printing. Students who damage or lose books or other university property will pay to replace or repair the damaged or lost property. Students in hostels will pay a deposit of GH¢ 50.00 (fifty Ghana Cedis) for the year to cover cost of utilities, estimated at slightly more than GH¢3.00 (three Ghana Cedis) per month for water and GH¢3.00 (three Ghana Cedis) per month for electricity. If charges for utilities at the end of a semester exceed this amount, students will pay the excess; if charges are less, students will be credited with a refund.

| Hostel Fees |
| The fees for University sponsored hostels for the 2008/2009 academic year is two hundred and eighty Ghana Cedis (GH¢280.00), payable, one hundred and forty Ghana Cedis (GH¢140.00) per semester, water and electricity charge of fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢50.00), also payable, twenty-fine Ghana Cedis (GH¢25.00) per semester and a non-refundable fee of five Ghana Cedis (GH¢5.00) per academic year for breakages and damages in the hostel. |
