Chancellor gets new job.

Peter Cardinal Kodwo Appiah Turkson,the Chancellor of the Catholic University College of Ghana
has been appointed as the President of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.
He left in January 2010 for Rome, where he will be for the next five years serving his initial
term of office.

Freshers Register at the Catholic University. 
The freshmen and women of the catholic university college of Ghana for the 2010/2011 academic year started their registration on Monday 16th August, 2010. The registration started around 9:00am. Students trickled in with their parents and guardians to register. Students from all parts of Ghana; the Western Region; Greater Accra Region; Brong Ahafo Region; Northern Region and other regions as well.

Blatter, 74, seeks to remain FIFA chief 
A buoyant Sepp Blatter announced on Thursday he intended to stand again as FIFA [ Images ] president, with no expected opposition to him remaining the most powerful man in soccer until he is almost 80.

The 74-year-old Swiss, first elected president in 1998, is unlikely to be challenged when he seeks a fourth four-year term in office when his current tenure ends in 2011.
