The Catholic University College of Ghana, (CUCG) has been positioned as the eleventh (11th) best university in Ghana by the AD Scientific Index (Alper-Doger Scientific Index), a system that provides rankings of institutions based on the scientific characteristics evaluations for journals and universities worldwide.
By this ranking, CUCG is the Number One Private University in Ghana; 233rd in Africa and 5181st in the world.
For global university rankings, the following parameters, including the quality of education, employment rate of graduates, the quality of faculties within an individual university, international collaborations, the number of graduates and staff were considered.
The Catholic University College of Ghana (CUCG), as a Christian and morally oriented academic institution, has been operating for the past 19 years with a strategic plan to set high academic standards and radically transform the educational environment of Ghana by inculcating high moral standards and impacting gospel value to students. The University runs numerous academic programmes under five Faculties.
Professor Daniel Obeng-Ofori who was ranked the best scientist in CUCG is a Professor of Applied Biology and Agricultural Entomology and the President of the University College. He was also recently adjudged the 20th best Scientist/lecturer in Ghana by the World Scientist and University Rankings.
